This post is three days late. Sorry, mostly to my husband and to my one reader who may have wanted an update. I partially blame this on work being unseasonably busy and home being equally as busy with my infant who thinks she is like 12 years old. Exaggeration, she thinks she is 6 months old, but whatevs.
On Sunday the 14th, Mike and I celebrated our first year of marriage. We had a wonderful time. We hauled the kid over to the in-law's for the night and went to one of our favorite dives and watched as much of the Arizona Cardinals game we could stand. Which was not much. Then we checked into the hotel that we stayed in on our wedding night. Not the same actual room, which I did request but I guess some bitch lady complained about getting a suite and she got it. Not cool Lexington on Central, but they did give us a complimentary bottle of wine and we will never stay there again. For sure.
After taking a nap we got dressed and heading over to the Turf Accountant for dinner and some drinks and since we are lame, we went to bed around 9 PM. That is really all either of us wanted though, to just go to sleep early and that was accomplished. Woke up at 7, got some breakfast then went and retrieved our little girl.
In keeping with the "anniversary gift tradition" the first anniversary is celebrated by paper, so a few days prior to our anniversary we decided to write each other lovely love notes. Next year is celebrated with cotton (or more modernly these days, china). So I'm looking forward to that.
Anyway, a little late and I know I said it A LOT over the weekend, but Happy Anniversary Mike. One year down, a lifetime to go.
