122 days... whattt?!?!?

There are only 122 days until the wedding. A year ago I was feeling overwhelmed with the fact that the wedding was so darn close, and now, with only four months to go I'm feeling slightly batty, but mostly ecstatic. I couldn't sleep last night knowing that today was the four month mark. The time, as I have mentioned before is moving dramatically faster than anything I have experienced in my life. The last year and four months since we have been engaged have been a haze, a wonderful and wacky and fun and slightly stressful haze.

My blackberry buzzed this morning with an e-mail from Brides.com saying basically "LADY, YOU HAVE FOUR MONTHS, GET YOUR BUTT MOVIN" or something along those lines. So now, as on every 14th of the month, I look at my lovely "to do" calendar. And lo and behold people, I am mostly ahead of schedule!! My four months before calendar says:

- Check marriage license requirements (DONE, birth certificate and Drivers License and $75.00, easy peasy)
- Arrange and appointment to get marriage license (Not needed)
- Finalize Reception Arrangement (Check)
- Make sure all deposits are paid and contracts have been signed (Done and done)
- Order wedding cake (I can't believe this one waits until like four months before, because it was done like a million years ago)
- Purchase a cake topper (We aren't having one, so it's checked off)
-Purchase a cake knife and server (We are borrowing some of my mom's antique silver pieces for this)
- Select Groom's and Groomsman's attire, schedule a fitting and order (The FI has selected the suits, and the fitting won't be until about a month before the wedding)
- Have mothers select attire (Um, why would I have them select attire, they can wear whatever they want to, but maybe I'll nudge them in the right direction)
- Order invites and other stationary (This is done)
- Book Calligrapher (This is how my conversation with our "calligrapher" went: "Um Mom, You have nice handwriting, would you mind?"
- Look into a wedding announcement (Well, I don't think anyone does this anymore, but we are trying to get in the paper since we are the first wedding ever at our venue)
It feels AMAZING to be right on schedule (and even ahead of it) as of now, but I know that I have a very busy four months ahead of me. The fact that at the end of all of this hustle and bustle I will be walking up the aisle to meet my husband-to-be makes it all SO worth it.
