A Charlotte Jo update

Charlotte is now two months (and a week) old.  She had her horibble two month appointment a week ago and it was very upsetting... to me...because I wasn't there.

I pawned my baby off on my husband because I had to go to work. Legit reason, right? He had the day off and since I just started back to work a few weeks ago I didn't think it was alright to take time off so he took her. Start mommy guilt now.

My mom says a funny thing about babies getting shots for the first few times.  You take this baby, this adrorable happy baby and then BAM! you turn them into jerks the second that sharp little needle impales their chubby little thigh. Or something like that.  She received the full round of shots all at once. Four in the leg, one orally.  My poor little baby screamed louder than Mike (not me, because I wasn't there) had ever heard her. Can you tell I'm STILL feeling guilty about not being there with her. I am. A week later and I feel like crap still. CRAP.

And yes, I got my baby vaccinated. Don't get your panties in a bunch.

Baby stats at two month appointment:

13.5 lbs (Up 3.5 pounds since birth)

24" long (Up 4 inches since birth)
