Charlotte's first haircut

My child was blessed (cursed?) with having two parents with curly/wavy hair. Inevitably, her hair is pretty curly too these days and while adorable, it's a mess. And it's a mullet too. Genetics, sorry kid.

So on Saturday morning we bit the bullet, loaded up with paci, George (as in Curious), and camera and headed over to Great Clips. Judge all ye want, but I'm not about to spend more than $10 for someone to cut the ends of my kids hair off of her head for 1 minute.  Rant over.

We just wanted her to be cleaned up a little bit, not look like a ragamuffin anymore so we opted for a trim and really, you can hardly tell the difference.

Here is the before picture. It's really hard to get your kid to stay still for pictures, ya know. And this is her attempting to say "cheese" and smile into the camera. So cute.

(Warning: the following picture may tear your heart out a little bit)
These are the "during" pictures. She did not enjoy the haircut in the least. She cried a lot and was thrashing her head all around like a crazy person.  How she was not stabbed in the ear by the hair cutter is beyond me and lets just say she got a very big tip. The hair cutter, not Charlotte.

(How grown up does this child look in the photo below? I mean really, she's not even two and she looks like she is going on six here)

And here is the after. After the torture and the pain and tears. We survived (sans bloodshed, yay!) And like I said you can't tell, but I can and it's cute.
